As at May 2016, these are the projects that are taking my time, or an active slice of my focus.
Startup News Asia
Startup News Asia is:
- a daily startup news update on startup news in South and Southeast Asia, and Australia & New Zealand, delivered via Twitter; and
- a monthly startup news summary delivered as a pdf download and for reading online via Issuu.
- a quarterly round-up of startup news, by country, of startup news in Southeast Asia and Oceania, available as a hard-copy purchase via MagCloud.
The Startup News Asia website, currently a work-in-progress, aims to deliver these news items specific to the country covered, providing focus on specific locations of interest.
My overall aim with Startup News Asia – at this point – is to move away from the monthly summaries towards a subscription-based quarterly publication.
– O2O content
The downloaded monthly Startup Asia News summary pdf, and the quarterly hard-copy Startup Asia News round-up connects offline-to-online content, with reader interest made measurable, using the That List mobile app.
That List
That List is a mobile-enabled print format, providing off-to-online marketing, advertising and promotions, all of which are measurable.
I trialed this initially – in George Town, Malaysia, over 6 months in 2015 – as an events-specific platform and print format. Whilst this showed promise, it prompted thoughts around concept – and service – rather than product, and that’s where I’m now moving with it.
It remains a standalone product, but is closely tied to Startup News Asia at this point.

MigrateAndStudy
MigrateAndStudy is in phase 1, and currently is a fairly simple directory of Australian registered migration agents, searchable by:
- migration agents that speak your language, making it easier to communicate your migration requirements;
- The state in Australia that a client wishes to migrate to; and
- Australian migration agents with offices or affiliations overseas.
Phase 2 is envisaged as being substantially different, but still very specifically in the field of overseas migration.
